3D SCANNING

3D Scanning is a technology for creating high-precision 3D models of real world objects. The scanner obtains geometry from the object by passing structured light over its surface and thereby mapping the objects outside form. Precision Cad makes use of high-precision handheld 3D Scanners. These scanners are mobile and highly versatile. We can scan components with a size range of 30mm³ - 4m, with an accuracy of up to 0,04mm. Larger objects can be scanned in sections & then stitched together using specialised software. We specialise in 3D Scanning for reverse engineering & designing new components which will work in conjunction with the 3D scanned component. We also do scanning for inspections, 3D printing / replicating, catalogues, and keeping digital copies of manufactured components.

3D PRINTING

With 3D Printing facilities we are able to offer you a scale model of your product for prototyping or recreational use. 3D Printing is a quick cost effective solution for any product development. By using 3D Printing you are able to have a workable scale model of your design in a matter of days, as opposed to the long, costly, traditional methods. You can use this scale model to test your product and iron out any possible problems, before you go into final production. This proves to be much more financially viable and saves a huge amount of time in the long run.
